Important Guidelines for CAT 2019 Online Application

Who are CAT aspirants? Who wants to enter one of the premier IIMs in India? If you are hoping to enter IIMs or several other B-schools, then be ready. CAT 2019 registration is expected to begin from 7th August for such interested candidates. This year, IIM Kozhikode is conducting the online CAT exam. If you are interested in premier B-Schools including all IIMs, then CAT is the qualifying exam. The process starts somewhere in July and continues until December. If you are interested in CAT 2019 registration, then you should follow the following deadlines:

The CAT 2019 online application form is available from 7TH August 2019 till 18th September 2019. The fee for registration is Rs. 1,900 for General candidates and Rs. 950 for SC/ ST/ PWD. If you miss the deadline, then you cannot apply so ensure it. However, if you have made any mistake in the form, then you can correct them in the window of 3 days.

Steps for CAT 2019 Registration:

Step 1: Log in to the website of CAT ( and go to register now link.

Step 2: Fill the basic personal information (Date of birth, email, Country and Mobile no.) and create your account with a unique password.

Step 3: Fill the CAT application form. You will have to enter your personal information, contact information, academic information, work experience information and selection of programs. You will also upload the appropriate scanned photograph, signature, caste certificate (if applicable) and PwD certificate (if applicable) after filling personal details. You should upload a gif/ jpg/ jpeg or png format of your photograph only. Also, while filling the form, you will need to select a city choice for your exam center. You will select four cities of your choices and two timings slots. You will be given the city and time slot from these selections only.

Step 4: Make the fee payment. The fee can be Rs. 1900 or 950 depending on your category. You can pay the fees by credit card, debit card, online net banking and wallet/ cash cards. There will be a small charge of 1-3% over online transactions.

Step 5: From 27th September to 30th September, you can make changes to incorrect information in marks scored, work experience, the programs selected, etc. However, you cannot make any changes in personal information, exam city preferences and academic information (apart from marks).


  • If you want to make any changes, do them in the window of 27th to 30th September. After 30th September, there will be no changes allowed.

  • You cannot change the exam center and exam slot, so pick them cautiously.

CAT 2019 online Application form is very important for a b-school aspirant student. It is the only way to enter any IIM program, so you should not miss the opportunity. If you are preparing for Cat, be mindful in filling the form else you will have to wait for next year.
