Kingdom Hearts 3 has already given a stimulating start to PlayStation’s gaming calendar but it is just a beginning. There is a big list of upcoming thrillers in 2019 for PlayStation of which we have selected the best 10 to plan your year accordingly. Don’t miss out!
1) Far Cry New Dawn

Initially, let’s take a look at the most demanding first-person shooter franchise of recent times, Far Cry. The franchise was encouraged to release another game of the series sooner because of the reception gained by its predecessor ‘Far Cry 5’ which was the fastest selling title in the history of the franchise. This time the game introduces the post-apocalyptic world in which the person takes control of the self-made character for the first time. Leading the fight with highwaymen and their leader sisters ‘The Twins’ will surely be a distinctive experience.
2) Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

Tom Clancy is back with another potential hit of the year to mark their 23rd birthday. The franchise gained a more powerful recognition after the first game of series ‘The Division’. The sequel of the series presents a more promising gameplay developed on Snowdrop Engine developed by Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft mutually. The game has three modes to play as usual; Campaign, PVP and Co-op. This time Ubisoft introduces new skills which can be mastered in-game to dominate against the opponents in Washington D.C. as most developers prefer the city to be featured in their games.
3) Dirt Rally 2.0

We all are excited about this racing arena. This is the 13th title of the franchise whose initial release was in 1998 named ‘Collin McRae Rally’. The game has come through so far since then and this time their title is the official game of the FIA world rally cross championship. This time the franchise decides to continue their Rally series whose first game was released in 2015. The game returns with six stunning locations to get your wheels to roll on including USA, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and the deserted areas of Australia with interactive weekly and monthly leaderboards.
4) Cyberpunk 2077

Yup, the game is as unique as the name suggests. The creators of The Witcher 3 are back and now this adventurous sci-fi thrilling experience will make you whirl between the reality and fiction. This RPG was announced way back in 2012. CD Projekt hasn’t confirmed the release date yet but it is speculated that they will release it this year. The game has been awaited for so long due to its freedom of action and diverse gameplay because of the sandbox nature of it.
5) Mortal Kombat 11

PS4 Gamers! This one is for you! Here comes the titan of the fighting video games industry that has been roaring with its gameplay for a long time. Mortal Kombat 11 is another masterpiece of the series. We are witnessing the ability to choose from different variations of a character for the first time which will impact the strategy and game stats. The cinematic graphics of this game are immensely eye-catching as seen in the trailer to precedent the gameplay.
6) Rage 2

This sequel wasn’t surely expected but yes you heard it right, Rage is back even though the reviews and the responses were not as per expectations as of the developers’ demanding series such as Doom, Quake, and Wolfenstein. The apocalyptic scenes from the game show the real appreciable efforts by the developers. Upgradable weapons, improved shooting fluency and open-world fight will enhance the game performance.
7) Tropico 6

How can we forget the leading city simulator game of this decade? Of course, it’s none other than ‘Tropico’. Tropico 6 gives their players the ability to manage multiple islands at the same time as well as designing the looks of their palaces the way to want to. According to Kalypso media, the game offers a completely new infrastructure and transportation features and will also let to send agents to raid against other castles and monuments. The game can be played by multiplayer up to 4.

Another RPG in our PS4 best games list is Biomutant, published by THQ Nordic. It seems to be plotted in a post-apocalyptic world where humanoid animal creatures are dominant. The player will be forced to lead a third person perspective for the exploration of the vast worlds. The combat will include martial arts, shooting, and melee attacks. The basic objective of the game is to fight the plague which is affecting the whole world of Biomutant slowly. We hope to see this game coming soon this year.
9) Resident Evil 2 (Remake)

Capcom’s classic Resident Evil was a highly awaited game of this year. Luckily we didn’t have to wait for it as it has already been released. There is no need to introduce the developer and the franchise as almost all of us have played this game’s original title. (Haven’t we?). Sony surprises their fans in E3 2018 press conference where they revealed the two trailers of this game’s remake. Capcom fulfilled the promise to make the game’s remake much more than the original one.
10) Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order’s release date is yet to be announced (Might be in November) but we can speculate some information about it as the franchise is well known for its movies more than just the games. The rumors are circulating that this title’s story revolves around a padawan called Cal and the Emperor’s Inquisitors. It will be played from a third person’s perspective and the publisher will be Electronic Arts.
